The Berlin Central School District in collaboration with the Rensselaer County Department of Health will be presenting an Opioid Crisis Workshop.
Opioid Crisis Workshop
Date: November 19, 2025
Time: 6:15 pm – 7:15 pm
Location: Berlin Middle High School Cafeteria
Cost: Free to everyone in attendance
During the workshop, the following topics will be covered:
-A data overview of how overdoses are affecting Rensselaer County
-What an opioid is and how Narcan helps during an opioid overdose
-Current drug trends Rensselaer County is seeing, specifically fentanyl and xylazine
-Signs of an opioid overdose
-How to administer Narcan
-What to do after you’ve used your Narcan
-Additional resources in the community for access to Narcan and services for recovery/treatment
After participating in the workshop, each attendee will receive their own Narcan kit.
