Please find a communication regarding Berlin CSD’s winter weather plans for the 2025 – 2026 school year below. If you did not receive the email regarding winter weather, which was sent home to all families on November 3, 2025, please update your information with your school building’s main office.

Dear Families,
As we approach the winter months, we anticipate school delays and/or cancellations due to inclement weather.
We will implement snow days and 2-hour delays as we have in years past.
Snow Days– In the event of a closure Berlin CSD does not transport to private/parochial schools, QUESTAR programs including STEM, New Visions, CTE and Special Education Programs.
- NO after-school or evening activities on snow days.
2 – Hour Delay – Please anticipate the bus to arrive 2 hours after their regularly scheduled pick-up time. Knowing that conditions can be challenging, please allow flexibility.
- NO AM Questar transportation on days with a 2-hour delay.
- Breakfast will be served at Berlin Middle High School on days with 2-hour delays.
- NO Breakfast will be served at Berlin Elementary School on days with 2-hour delays due to the arrival time’s proximity to lunch service.
School closures and two-hour delays will be communicated via SchoolMessenger, the district’s website, Facebook page, and X (Twitter) pages, as well as local news stations (please note that News Channel 13 is no longer part of the school closing network portal, so please find closing information through an alternate local channel).
The district does not take these decisions lightly and will come to a decision as early as possible. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
