Today, twenty Berlin High School students attended the Hoosick Falls Community Career & Trade Expo. The Mountaineers were able to explore 45 businesses/careers that were tabling and offering engaging experiences, such as a hands-on Mack truck simulator, at the career and trade expo. Berlin CSD’s own Board of Education Vice-President, Mr. Frank Zwack, was hosting a table as well, which was a great connection for the Mountaineers. Thanks go to BMHS Principal Mr. David Bernsley, BCSD Superintendent Mr. Ken Rizzo, BCSD Technology and Instructional Support Coordinator Ms. Ariel Gilbert, BHS Counselor Ms. Savanna Caldwell, and BMHS Teacher Ms. Rebecca Sweet, who planned and attended the event with the Mountaineers to help guide them through the experience and engage with local businesses, creating potential connections and partnerships for the students and Mountaineers going forward.
It was a great day for BCSD, and we look forward to creating more opportunities like it going forward. Thanks go to the BCSD Transportation Department for supporting the trip.
