Berlin CSD is excited to have had Mrs. Becca Galusha, RN, join the district this year as a school nurse. Mrs. Galusha moves between BES and BMHS throughout the week and has filled a long-vacant need for our district. We are happy to introduce Mrs. Galusha, although she is already a familiar face to many and a great addition to our school community. My education started years ago in this very school district! After graduating Berlin High School, I went to Hudson Valley Community College for nursing. Can there be a more classic small town girl story? I graduated from HVCC, then attended SUNY Delhi to get my Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

 

My favorite thing about Berlin is the small town family feel. I cannot even count the students coming to the health office whom I already know from seeing them around town. It’s nice to have a connection with the other people in my community.

 

My go-to fun fact is always that I play the oboe. I learned the double reed life in the Berlin halls years ago, and I try to play every once in a while to keep up my skills!

 

I have always been a big reader, and reading continues to be my main hobby beyond work and my family. I am such a big Harry Potter fan that I painted a mural of Hogwarts on my baby’s nursery wall!

 

We are happy to welcome back a Mountaineer alum as a staff member. Welcome back Nurse Galusha!
