Hudson Valley Community College is excited to share that HVCC’s Summer 2025 College in the High School registration is officially open! Below is key information to assist your students in beginning the enrollment process:

Summer CIHS Course Offerings

You, your students, and families may view the courses that will be offered for Summer 2025 College in the High School students by visiting our Summer CIHS Courses Page. Here, they will be able to preview course offerings, review class descriptions, and note modalities for the courses offered. The summer courses page also includes important resource information such as our Registration Calendar denoting key dates for summer courses, directions on how to register, and more.

Summer Scholarship for all CIHS Students

Again this year, the college is awarding full-tuition scholarships for up to eight credits to all students in our College in the High School sections for Summer 2025. This means that all students will receive a scholarship to cover the cost of tuition (up to eight credits), plus free textbooks. NYS Residents will still be required to submit a Certificate of Residence, but once done will have their course costs, up to 8 credits, covered in full.

Blueprint to Success—CIHS Student Success Webinars

We are excited to introduce our new student success webinar, the Blueprint to CIHS Student Success! Designed and presented by our Assistant Coordinator Kirsten Kellersberger, these 45-minute webinars feature key information on the enrollment process, steps for starting courses on the right foot, and tips for getting the most out of our summer program.

Registration for live sessions of this series will begin on April 2nd, when Kirsten will send out the link for students, and families to register. Note--dates below are the same presentation, repeated to accommodate schedules:

Thursday, April 3rd @ 7 p.m.
Friday, April 25th @ 3 p.m.
Monday, May 12th @ 7 p.m.
Tuesday, June 3rd @ 3 p.m.
Wednesday, June 25th @ 11 a.m.
While these dates feature the live sessions, we do plan to have a recorded version, timestamped with key info, available shortly after the webinar series begins.

As a reminder, students will complete registration request via our online registration system, Voyager*, starting today and running through June 23rd. Voyager is the hub for all parts of the registration process including registration requests, Certificate of Residence submission, obtaining HVCC credentials, and more. Students will see real-time course availability and request their courses in the system. From there, you as our school contacts are able to review & approve the course requests, view real-time course enrollment for all of your students, and more.

Students who have created Voyager accounts in the past should login using their existing HVCC credentials, where they will be able to review specific course sections, modalities of said courses, and request enrollment. Should you or your students have any questions about registering via Voyager, you can visit our Voyager Information Center for step-by-step guides on key steps in the enrollment process, along with answers to many Frequently Asked Questions.

*Note: the following special programs will not be using the Voyager system, but will continue to register using SRI forms:

  • Albany Smart Scholars
  • Ballston Spa PTECH
  • Cohoes Future Ready Pathways
  • STEM High School
  • Troy Smart Scholars
