The “Artist of the Month” award is a High School level award for our most dedicated students in The Visual Arts. These students are often the most academically successful because of great effort on their pieces and devotion to their craft.
The Berlin High School March Artist of the Month is…..Mayah Florada! (Grade 12)
Mayah is consistently creating artwork using her voice for social justice. Her digital photograph “Don’t Touch” was even accepted into the Juried Regional show this year. She has tackled the topics of Women’s Rights, harassment, oil drilling and health insurance reform so far. We love an artist who creates for change.
