March is National Reading Month, and at Berlin Elementary, we are passionate about fostering a love of literacy and celebrating the joy of reading.
Next week, we will launch a Spirit Week to kick off this special month, and BES Principal Mrs. Cataldo is excited to share the spirit week, which is usually just celebrated in kindergarten, with the entire elementary school!
BES Mountaineers let’s MARCH INTO READING with enthusiasm and school spirit!
National Reading Month, established by the National Education Association in 1994, honors the legendary Dr. Seuss and emphasizes the importance of literacy for personal and academic growth.
Throughout the month, we will highlight the district’s initiatives that promote literacy and the love of reading.
This morning, Mrs. Cataldo stopped by BES Library Media Specialist, Mr. Eckert’s library to share her favorite book, The Magical Yet, written by Angela DiTerlizzi and illustrated by Lorena Alvarez.
Share your favorite read-aloud with someone and stay tuned for more exciting reading celebrations throughout the month of March!

Happy Reading Mountaineers!!
