The Berlin Elementary Ambassadors used their meeting before school this morning to give back to the BCSD community. The ambassadors, along with their advisors, Mrs. Peter-Hoen and Mrs. Ruebel, put together “Birthday Kits” for the Berlin Food Closet. While the ambassadors were delivering food drive donations and volunteering at the local pantry before the holiday break, they discovered another way in which they could support Berlin Food Closet director, Mrs. Mosher.

The BES Ambassadors decided to use the money collected during their Gobble Gram fundraiser in November to purchase supplies to create “Birthday Kits” for community members who may be in a time of need. The ambassadors were able to put together 20 kits, which included a recipe, cake pan, and ingredients for an easy-to-make but delicious soda cake, frosting, sprinkles, balloons, and a birthday card created by the ambassadors.

The ambassadors hope to spread a little joy in their community with this project.

Thank you BES Mountaineer Ambassadors, for your dedication to making a positive impact on our school and local community!

We are proud of you!
