Back cover winner Nadine Hoffman, a kindergarten Mountaineer, shared that she was inspired by her Pop Pop’s hands for her back cover design, tracing them for her drawing.
Front cover winner Khalani Gonzalez-Caban, a 5th grade Mountaineer, was inspired by the theme’s quote, “We are all unique and beautiful but together we are a masterpiece.”
“The first thing that went through my head was all the masterpieces I know; Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night stuck out to me, so that is where I started,” said Khalani.
Khalani has proved to be a very talented artist and a popular one among the student body when it comes to voting for their favorite cover artwork. This is Khalani’s second time winning the school-wide vote for the yearbook cover contest. Way to go!!

BES Principal Mrs. Cataldo and Mr. Turetsky were very impressed by the excellent artwork this year, which is now on display in the main hallway of the elementary school for everyone to enjoy.

For only $22, your child will have a book that will be enjoyed now and 20,30 or even 50 years from now. You also can make the yearbook extra special by purchasing namestamping. Namestamping is available until January 23rd only through online orders.

Please place payment and order form in an envelope with your child’s name and classroom teacher written on it. All orders should be sent to Mr. Turetsky in room 206.
