The BNL Varsity Girls Softball team ended the season yesterday with a strong fight and nothing but positive attitudes. While the season did not bring the record everyone had hoped for, the girls learned valuable skills that will only lead to further success in the years to come.
Graduating only one senior, Hannah Mace, the Varsity team is very young with an incredible amount of potential. Each and every girl this season has made game-changing plays, key at-bats to test opposing pitchers, and have made strides to better their overall game knowledge.
The coaches could not be prouder of the girls and look forward to what the program has to offer in the future. We can’t wait until next season but look forward to working with the girls during the off season in preparation for a successful next season!
Hannah Mace has been playing softball with Coach Slaver since 10th grade.
“She started out in left field and then moved to center, during the last three years she has improved drastically, and was a great part of the team,” said Coach Slaver.
“She is heading to HVCC where I am sure she will excel and hopefully carry on her softball career. She will be missed and will always be part of our softball family.”
The best of luck is wished to Hannah Mace as she continues her education next year and in all of her future endeavors. – Coach Giglio and Coach Slaver
