In the 21st Century, the term “Starving Artist” is simply not true! A group of high school Mountaineer Art students took an evening field trip to the Creative Career Expo at Russell Sage Albany on Wednesday, April 5th. Students signed up for three workshops to hear presentations from Art and Design professionals working in the field, ask questions and see what their typical day looks like. Animation, Graphic Design, Film, Art Therapy, and many more, were highlighted. These fields are vital to our State and National economies, and can be a viable way to make a good living while also being creative and enjoying what you do.
This Expo is made possible by the NYS Art Teachers Association (NYSATA) and the Capital Area Art Supervisors (CAAS). If you or your child have questions or have an interest in The Arts, please reach out to Mrs. Colbert or Ms. DeCelle so they can best support their path along with our school counselors. -Mrs. Colbert or Ms. DeCelle
