The Berlin Central School District’s Director of Pupil Personnel Services Ms. Angela Pastizzo is excited to announce two seminars being offered for parents and guardians of students with individualized education plans. The purpose for both seminars is to help families understand and be a partner in their students’ individualized program.

Understanding the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process for Parents 

March 24, 2023

Berlin Middle High School Library 

This presentation provides parents, family members, caregivers, and others in the community an overview of the process for developing an IEP using a collaborative approach. Participants will be guided through a review of the areas of the IEP and the information that can be shared with the Committee on Special Education (CSE) regarding a child’s performance and disability related needs. Participants will gain an understanding of the components of an IEP and the role that parents and family members have in the development of their child’s IEP.

Transition from Preschool Special Education (CPSE) to Kindergarten (CSE) for Parents/Guardians
