The BNL Boys Varsity Basketball team took on defending Section 2 Champions Maple Hill on Tuesday, February 21st, losing 63 – 25.  Leading the way for BNL was Alex Smith, scoring 11 points in the contest.  It was a tough matchup, but senior leaders Alex Smith, Gabe Hart, Mason Stalker, and Daniel Hendricks as well as underclassmen Mason Garhartt, Aiden VanDyk and Jason McFall played with intensity throughout the contest.

“I’ve seen a lot of improvement in this group of young men.  They showed up tonight shorthanded, played hard, and gave it their all.  While the outcome wasn’t what was hoped for, their tenacity on the court tonight reflects the hard work and steady improvement they have made this year.  Good luck to the seniors and to those moving on to a Spring sport!” – Assistant Coach Moseley.

“Certainly, it is not the outcome we were hoping for, but these men grew a lot in this experience. They can now understand how far we still have to go in becoming a great program. This group that is left faced many challenges this year and always fought through adversity. I am proud of how far they came this year and the men that they are. For our seniors, thank you. Thank you for your work and dedication. I am praying for your future endeavors. Keep working hard to achieve excellence in every area of life.” – Coach Snyder.
