Congratulations to the bowling team for finishing their season with an amazing day at Sectionals! BNL traveled to Boulevard Bowl in Schenectady on Monday to compete against 24 other Section II teams. The team finished 12th overall, BNL’s best finish ever at Sectionals, as all bowlers demonstrated excellent teamwork and sportsmanship. After 3 games of bowling in the morning, BNL was seeded 14th for afternoon competition. Working together to put together an impressive team set in the afternoon, the bowlers were able to jump higher in the field to finish 12th. The team looked like a well oiled machine all day, with all bowlers shooting impressive scores. Logan Dunlop led the team with a 505 series in the morning and a 548 in the afternoon. Logan D shot a 200 game in games three and six to help lead the team in their spectacular finish. Logan Horton had a very solid and consistent day as well, with a 450 in the morning and 457 in the afternoon. Logan H’s high games of the day were 176 and 167, he rolled the ball consistently smooth all day. Alex Reinhart had a very nice 201 in the afternoon, and Avyn Capasso also saw some afternoon action as he rolled a 153. Noah Bonesteel was consistent all day as well, with highlights in both the morning and afternoon blocks. Noah shot a 174 during the morning set and a 162 in the final game of the afternoon to help BNL climb the standings. Ultimately it was a great day of bowling by all, and Coach Marbot could not be more proud. Congratulations again to the team on an excellent Sectionals showing that capped off a very fun season. Stay tuned for more next season. Until then, keep bowling! Go BNL! – Coach Marbot
