Athletic Director and Adaptive Physical Education Teacher

 

 

The Berlin Central School District is pleased to welcome Mr. Jason McFall (aka Coach McFall) as the district’s Athletic Director and Adaptive Physical Education teacher.

Coach McFall has been in the education field as a coach and or administrator for 25 years. McFall will be joining the Berlin Administrative Team as the district’s Athletic Director for the BNL Athletics program. He will also be part of the district’s teaching staff: coaching/teaching strength and conditioning to high school Mountaineers, teaching an Adaptive Physical Education class at the elementary level  and working to develop an extracurricular pass/fail intramural program for 6th grade Mountaineers.    

On Thursday, December 15, Coach McFall received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the Mountaineers. He visited classrooms and was part of the BMHS assembly.  During his visits McFall emphasizes that hard work, effort and positivity will be the key to the Mountaineers’ success.

What is your education background?

I have an Associate in Arts/Bachelor/Masters in Communications from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I also hold a Master of Science from Long Island University and currently I am enrolled in the School District Leadership Program at Manhattan College.

What is your background like – previous jobs?

I have been a career educator administrator/coach for 25 years in various districts throughout Westchester County and New York City. I believe that using the parallel of sports and education makes everyone better for it.

Tell us about your family?

 I have four children J’lyn, Jason Jr., Jhordan and Brooklyn. My oldest J’lyn is a college sophomore at North Carolina A&T, my son Jason is gearing up for his senior year in high school and Jhordan will be a freshman in high school next year. Brooklyn is a budding soccer star and in elementary school.

What are your interests outside of school?

I love to do any outdoor sports including fishing and hiking. I also am a big sports enthusiast as I have now broadened my coaching prowess into other sports such as football, baseball, golf and Track and Field.
