This school year the BES Mountaineers participated in the One School, One Book literacy event by reading Friendship According to Humphrey written by Betty G. Birney!
What was One School, One Book?
It was the first time all Berlin Elementary students listened to the same book being read aloud in their classroom each day. This event ran from April 1st until May 6th.

This summer Berlin Elementary students will have another opportunity to participate in a literacy event through a summer reading challenge. Students who will be in Kindergarten – Fifth grade next school year received their summer reading challenge in their report cards.
What is the challenge?
Student’s Summer Reading Challenge:
Read 10 books then complete one of the challenge logs.
Submit the completed reading challenge log to your child’s teacher by Friday, September 9, 2022
All students who have a completed reading log will be able to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge prize.
