Dear BMHS Parents/Guardians:
As we set our sights on the finish line for this academic year, below you will find the Regents and end of year schedules for students in grades 6-12. Based on the data currently available to The Board of Regents and the New York State Education Department, Regents Examinations can be administered safely and equitably across the State in June 2022. As a result, BMHS is offering the June 2022 Regents exams as one of our multiple measures of student achievement for this school year. Assessing our students at the state-level provides a valuable opportunity to determine the extent to which individual students are achieving the NYS learning standards and helps to inform steps the Department can take to foster equity to improve the educational opportunities for every student in New York.
For any student in grades 9-12, the district will provide transportation in the morning at normal time for all students taking a morning exam. For any student in grades 9-12 taking an afternoon exam, the district is offering another bus run that will arrive at the school at approximately 11:20 a.m. A survey will be sent out to all students taking an afternoon Regents exam to ask if they will need transportation to and from the school during Regents exams as well as to indicate if they would like a school lunch provided. Additionally, a bus will leave BMHS each day at approximately 11:30 to bring students home who have taken a morning Regents exam. If your child has extended time for testing and will require a bus home, please let your child’s guidance counselor know as soon as possible.
