– BMHS Art Educators Mrs. Colbert and Mrs. DeCelle

Berlin High School has three students’ artwork accepted into the 33rd Annual Questar III Juried High School Art Exhibit. This is a regional exhibition along with 21 other local high schools. The three entrants this year are: Elsie Corbett (Grade 11), Rebecca Moore (Grade 10) and Annie Weeden (Grade 11). Elsie submitted a mixed media 2D piece titled “Reverse Urbanization” using linoleum printing, oil pastels and collage. Rebecca submitted a mixed media 3D piece titled “The Face of Cruelty,” which touches upon the topic of animal abuse. Annie also submitted a 3D glazed ceramic pair, titled “Aboriginal Inspiration.” Mrs. Colbert & Mrs. DeCelle are so impressed by these three students’ skills and dedication to creativity.

All three students will compete for awards and prizes Wednesday, May 18th at the Questar III building in Castleton for the reception. Wish them luck!

(P.S. YES, you do see a former Berlin Art Student’s work on the exhibition flyer for this year! Bridget’s Hermann’s (Class of 2021) Honorable Mention piece from last year’s show.)
