BNL Bowling vs Waterford 12/9

The BNL bowlers emerged victorious in an exhilarating match against Waterford last night. Every shot was crucial, as the team took the first game by only 4 pins! Danny Hunt stepped up in the 10th to strike out and guarantee a chance for the win when an unfortunate split from Waterford’s anchor cost them the game. Using this momentum to fuel game two, the bowlers came out with strikes, spares, and invigorating energy – winning the second game by 80 pins and then the third by 31. This resulted in the bowlers’ second 5-0 sweep of the season, bringing their match record to 2-1. Danny Hunt led the team with high games of 180 and 183 for a 513 series. Nate Hendricks had an impressive 158 in game two, and Jacob Brazie and Logan Dunlop were consistent throughout the match – finishing with 432 and 415, respectively. Notable scores were also bowled on the JV lanes, with 7th grader Avyn Capasso scoring his new high of 123 and fellow 7th grader Noah Bonesteel just behind him with a 122. The bowlers have a bye next Tuesday and then return to Hilltop Bowl to face Hoosic Valley on Thursday (12/16).

BNL Girls Modified Basketball vs Mechanicville 12/8

The girls modified basketball team kicked off their season openers on Wednesday night against the toughest team in the league…Mechanicville.  Both teams struggled in the first half trying to find our rhythm and team cohesiveness.  It’s been over a year since we’ve played competitively so it took a little while to get back into game mode.  While these games were not wins, we were able to identify the things we need to work on.  Buckets were made by Amaya Brown, Alicia Minkler, Morgan Sharpe and Lilly Meyers.  We will take on Tamarac at their house this Saturday.  We hope to have almost everyone on the court next week.  Players of the game were Amaya Brown and Morgan Sharpe.

BNL Swim vs Hudson 12/8

Congratulations to Alex Sotek who hit a sectional time in the 100 Butterfly and the 100 Backstroke and to Allison Slater who hit a sectional time in the 200 IM.

Great job to the entire team!
