BNL Boys Varsity Soccer vs. Hoosick Falls 10/19

Tuesday night the BNL Boys Varsity Soccer Team- defeated Hoosick Falls in the first round of sectional play. It was an outstanding game to see on the pitch down in the tiger den.  These fellas are some of the hardest working smartest athletes I have ever been around.  They played most of the 2nd half with only 10 players due to a red card, and they still scored.  Both BNL goals were put in by the impeccable play of Chris Shorter.  Kevin Chitternden was a constant force of nature in the goal as he recorded 12 saves.  Great play from Dylan Saviano, Liam Buckenroth, and Forest Chaput on the defensive end.  Adian Cave started his first varsity game and came through with some great energy.  Gabe Hart, Gage Willis, and Wyatt Powers teamed up to control the midfield.  Matt Corsey worked hard attacking the goal and keeping the defense honest which helped to allow Chris to score.  We had super subs come in off the bench and give great minutes to the game. BNL go to CHATHAM on THURSDAY at 3pm?  If you’re not busy, come join us.

BNL Modified Girls Soccer vs Mechanicville 10/20

On Wednesday, Modified Girls Soccer played Mechanicville.  While it took a little bit for the girls to find their groove, they played their last game tough in the second half.  Emma Shorter (Berlin) scored the first goal of the game and her first goal of the season.  The second goal was scored by Vivienne Powers (NL).  Notable defense was played by Madison Prusky (NL).  Anna Ward ended her season with 5 saves in the game – totaling over 60 saves this season!  Thanks for a great season ladies!
