Dear Berlin families,
As we approach Winter sports during this pandemic there is information that we would like to share with you.
As of today, October 12, 021Rensselaer county DOH has not mandated any Covid vaccine for high risk sports.
The district is not mandating any vaccines for Covid (Athletics or otherwise).
Should this situation change in the future, we will inform you of the same.
Similar to Fall sports we will be testing students in high-risk sports for Winter.
Mr. Paravella will be releasing more information about the testing component in the near future.
Please be advised that students have to be tested weekly in order to participate in the practices / games for high risk sports.
The availability of testing kits is still an important consideration and the lack of such kits may lead us to modify the testing schedule and/or frequency.
All other aspects of Winter sports – namely wearing a mask, social distancing, etc. will remain consistent from Fall sports.
