I received my Undergraduate Degree in Elementary Education/Psychology from Russell Sage College and my Master’s Degree in Literacy from the University of Albany. I hold two certifications: Literacy B-6 and Classroom 1-6.

I started my teaching career in inner city New Jersey. While I was there I taught Kindergarten, Second Grade and Fourth Grade. In 2008 I moved back to New York. Outside of school I enjoy going to different state park lakes during late spring and summer, kayaking with my family, hiking with my husband and daughter, family camping trips and long bike rides. I also try making a new recipe once a week.

I am looking forward to getting to know all my wonderful students, and working with a great team of teachers. I have always been passionate about reading and writing, and I’m so so excited to explore these topics with my students. I am lucky to be a part of the BES community!
