BNL Girls Varsity Volleyball vs. Tamarac 9/22
A hard loss against Tamarac on Wednesday 9/22. Started off well but then we lost in three sets. The team is now 1-5. We are hopeful the second half of the season will get us focused and pile up the wins. Go BNL!

BNL Girls Modified Volleyball vs Tamarac 9/22

The girls modified volleyball B team kicked off last night’s matches against Tamarac fairly well. We were up by 5 at the bottom of the serving order when we ran into a great server who got a 10 point run on us. Team Captain, Holly White, and new addition, Mackenzie Walko, were able to take back the lead with consistent serving. A well-deserved win at 25-23. The 2nd match we were able to quickly shut down that one server and continue our streak. Final score was 25-10. Player of the game was Mackenzie Walko.

The A team started their first set slow. Tamarac had a dominant overhand server. Our lack of effective communication allowed Tamarac to dominate the score board 12-0 after the 1st serve.  We were unable to recover from the deficit and lost 25-9. The 2nd set we found our voices and our serves. We shut down their power server, had some great volleying and traded points consistently. Ava Murray and Jaezsa Bartolotta led the charge by neutralizing the Tamarac serving strategy. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and lost a hard fought set 25-23. Ava Murray was the player of the game. We play again this Friday in Waterford.

BNL Girls Varsity Soccer vs Stillwater

The BNL Girls Varsity soccer team played a tough and competitive game away to Stillwater on Wednesday night, ultimately losing 3-1. BNL played some of their best soccer of the season in the first half, possessing the ball for large stretches, getting back on defense, and even took the lead through a Haylee Jones goal fifteen minutes into the match. BNL went into halftime with the 1-0 lead, but the relentless pressure from Stillwater in the second half proved to be a bit too much, as Stillwater scored three second half goals to take the victory. Keeper, Becca Madsen had another outstanding performance, recording 21 saves in the match.
