Wasaren League Relays (5×2 mile Relay)
The Berlin-New Lebanon Varsity XC Team started off on the right foot! No pun intended. We had a lot of fun for our first meet of the season. Our relay teams consisted of 5 Varsity boys (Aidan VanDyk, Layne Chaykowski-jewitt, Eben Donohue, Matt Kluck, and Carl Truax) as well as a relay team of 8 Varsity girls (Elsie Corbett, Sadie Giummara, Brady Hills, Sam Rokjer, Ava Noel, Elaine Savaria, Allura Meizinger, and Addison Powell). Each runner had to complete the 2 mile course alongside the hudson river, slap their next teammate’s hand, and send the next runner onto the course. We saw some incredible effort from each runner! First meet of their senior year, Bradie had a strong finish with a 14:36 and Matt with a 12:34. Our newly welcomed varsity runner, Ava Noel, started the season off with a 15:43. There were many, many more great times and achievements from all of our runners today. We will be continuing to announce the incredible accomplishments that the BNL XC team achieved throughout the season. At the start of this season, our team already has demonstrated so much excitement, dedication, and hope for this sport.
