Those boys from Berlin/New Lebanon took on Greenwich and walked away with a victory. Goals scored by Captain Danny Hunt and the thunderous right foot of Wyatt Powers. Danny got the team on the board with a penalty kick and then dropped in a shot from 30 yards out. Wyatt fired a cannon-like shot into the corner. The team played total team defense shutting out a very good scoring team. Gator Garrett Votra and Big Ben Chaput anchored a defensive victory with Ace Jacob Brazie and Lord Liam Buckenroth contributing some truly brilliant tackles. The team unleashed the water Buffalo as Sarge Gabe Hart teamed up with his big bro Matt Hart for some unbelievable passing combinations that kept the defense of Greenwich on their toes. Great shifts were put in by Gage Willis and Forest Chaput. Off the bench Matt Corsey shined as he always found himself in the right position to force their goalie to make great plays. Kevin Chitteren was in goal the whole game and was the most important communicator on the field. He ended the game with 5 saves.
We’ve got a good team, I’d love to invite all of you to our next game- Thursday as we take on last season’s champions Mechanicville, at their home field. JV is at 5 pm and the varsity game is at 7 pm under the lights- if you can make the trip that would be great! Let’s all show up and spread some of that positive school spirit.
