Dear Berlin CSD community members,
Last night (August 4th), school districts were notified that neither the Governor nor the New York State Department of Health will be providing COVID-19 guidance regarding the upcoming 2021-22 school year, after previously being advised that guidance was in development and forthcoming.
As a result, this morning, superintendents in the Questar III BOCES region met and have begun to develop a draft document that outlines a regional plan for all school districts in the three counties (Rensselaer, Columbia and Greene) to agree upon.
Once finalized, this document will be submitted to county Departments of Health for their consideration. We will keep our Berlin school community updated as more information becomes available and as we work to develop a reopening plan with stakeholder input for the upcoming school year.
