The BCSD’s Transportation Staff collected 60 buckets to donate to the Berlin Food Closet.

The Berlin Community Food Closet is hosting a summer lunch bucket program for families. The pantry recently created a friendly challenge between the BCSD staff at the Transportation Department, Elementary School and Middle/High School, to see who could collect the most buckets for the pantry to use this summer.

The BCSD Transportation Department knocked it out of the park with their staff of just 44 collecting 61 buckets!  The Berlin Middle/High School was close behind with 60 buckets. BCSD collected a total of 134 buckets for the Berlin Community Food Closet.

Ms. Dianne Mosher, Ms. Kathy Primeau, Ms. Kathren Jaeger and Ms. Christine French of the Berlin Community Food Closet thanked the transportation department for their generous efforts by delivering breakfast to the winners of the friendly competition on Wednesday, June 16.

The donated buckets will be filled with lunch items and dropped off to families in the community who have reached out.
