The BNL varsity track and field team finished up its season over the weekend at the Wasaren League Championships at Mechanicville. The boy’s side were led by a strong day from Winter Exley, who won the discus, placed and pr’d in the 400 and 800, and was a pivotal part of the successful 4 X 400 relay that finished fourth. Boys were also led by Michael Loughlin, who won the 3200 meter run, placed fifth in both hurdles, and was also on the 4 X 400 relay team. The girls had strong performances in the throws from Tallulah Powers and Sophie Ericson, and were also highlighted by great races in the distance races by Elsie Corbett, who placed third in the 3000 meter run. Allura Meizinger had yet another strong day, as she helped both the 4 X 800 relay and 4 X 400 relay take second place, and took second in the 400 meter dash. Overall, the boys placed sixth and the girls finished in fourth for a very strong and competitive season for the program. -Coach Kanofsky and Coach Burhans
