BNL Boys Track Sectional Meet 6/10
Last night 6/11 was the boys turn on the track at the sectional meet. BNL wound with a 5th place finish overall.  It was another evening of season’s best performances on the oval.  The boy’s points came from a few different contributors. Michael Loughlin placed fourth in the 3200 meter run and sixth in the 400 meter hurdles. Liam Buckenroth raced his way to second place in the 800 meters and third in the 1600 meters. Rounding out the individual scoring Matt Kluck earned a fourth place finish in the 400 meter hurdles.  The 4×100 meter relay team of Josh Hunter-Marti, Owen Kane, Jared Bruns and Carlton Truax grabbed sixth place and the 1600 meter relay team of Winter Exley, Kristjon Culbertson, Kluck and Loughlin also placed sixth.
Saturday the team winds up the season in Mechanicville with Wasaren League Championships.

BNL Girls Track Sectional Meet 6/9
Last night was the girls running portion of the Track and Field Sectional meet. The BNL girls put together a great showing with many impressive performances. Allura Meizinger led the way with a victory in the 400 meters and a third place finish in the 800 meters. Elsie Corbett took second place in the 3000 meters and sixth place in the 1500 meters. Rylin Jones grabbed a fourth and a sixth place in the 100 and 200 meters respectively. And Hailey Beckwith rounded out the individual scoring with a sixth place finish in the 3000 meters. Two relay teams also put points on the board for the team. The 4×800 meter team of Meizinger, Corbett, Beckwith and Ava Noel garnered a third place finish while the 4×400 meter team of Meizinger, Corbett, Jones and Sadie Giumarra ran their way to second place.

BNL Boys and Girls Track and Field Sectional 6/7

The Berlin-New Lebanon Varsity track and field team hosted its first ever sectional meet yesterday, as the Group 5 sectionals field events took place. BNL had strong performances throughout the meet, highlighted by Winter Exley earning fourth place in discus, and Kristjon Culbertson earning sixth place in high jump. There were several impressive performances in the long and triple jumps, as well as shot put and pole vault. The squad looks to continue its strong start to championship season, with the sectional running events taking place tomorrow and Thursday at Hoosic Valley. Good luck team!
