In honor of the observance of Memorial Day, Rachel Smith a Berlin Elementary School student gave a moving presentation to her fourth grade classmates. Rachel spoke about Memorial Day and Military Funerals and why they are important, especially to her personally. Rachel and her family invited some special guests to be part of the presentation. BES instrumental teacher Ms. Baker performed Military Taps and Master Sergeant Welch, Master Sergeant Burnah and Technical Sergeant King gave a flag folding demonstration and answered fourth grade students’ questions after the presentation.
Rachel’s fourth grade teacher Mrs. Kneer was very proud of her excellent and moving presentation.
