BNL Athletic Varsity Awards Ceremony 6/14

The BNL athletic program is excited to have the opportunity to provide all of our Varsity athletes with a Varsity Awards Ceremony on Monday June 14, at 3:15PM. This will take place in the Berlin Middle/High School auditorium. New Lebanon students will be able to take the after school shuttle to Berlin. This event will involve Varsity players from both Berlin and New Lebanon. Athletes will be socially distanced throughout the auditorium and follow all COVID regulations. There will be no spectators. We are hoping to live stream this for families. Stay tuned for more information. This will be a fun way to honor and celebrate our students as we begin to close out the 2020-2021 school year.

BNL Modified Baseball Continues to Show Improvement on the Mound in Loss to Mechanicville 5/27

Kaleb Sweener (B) started for BNL and was on the mound for two innings with Landen Jaquish (NL) and Nick Davis (NL) each coming on in relief for one inning a piece.

BNL couldn’t get the offense going until late in the contest when Leviathan Rouse (NL) drew a walk to get BNL on the bases.  Nick Mosher (B) later singled to advance runners Aiden Vandyk (B) and Taygen Berry (B) into scoring position, but solid pitching by Mechanicville ended BNL’s rally, and the game.

Our pitchers are working hard in practice to improve and it’s starting to show during games.  We also have a growing bullpen of new pitchers ready to step onto the mound and learn.  It’s great to see these student athletes persevere through the adversity they’ve faced early in the season and to see them putting in the necessary effort between games to improve. – Coach Moseley

BNL Modified Baseball Improves in Close Loss to Hoosick Falls 5/25
Nick Mosher (B) started on the mound for BNL and kept the game close for 2 innings. Taygen Berry came on in relief and threw a gutsy third inning but HF rallied later to put the game out of reach.

Multiple good plays by the defense kept BNL in the game including outstanding catches by catcher Landon Jaquish (NL) and Center Fielder Aiden Vandyk (B).

Looking forward to continued improvement and team growth. -Coach Moseley.
