The Chromebooks and iPads that have been assigned to your students for academic purposes need to have your support in taking care of them. The Technology Department is experiencing a large volume of Chromebook repairs including lost chargers, keyboard issues and broken screens.
BCSD would like to remind its students and their families that they are responsible if the device or any of its accessories are lost or damaged due to negligence and for the cost of replacement or repair of the device. The cost for a replacement device or replacement parts shall be determined by the District as stated in the “Acknowledgement of Issued Device” form that was signed by each parent/guardian at the time of receipt of their student’s device.
Please take extra measures to be sure the devices are not being crammed into bookbags, left on floors or being used for any other purposes but for school purposes. Please also be sure to not eat or drink while using the devices.
