The Berlin bowlers continue to show consistency and improvement, this time in their most recent match against Hoosick Falls. Although Hoosick Falls took all 5 match points by a total score of 3,403 – 2,554, the Mountaineers kept all three individual game totals above 800, a feat that was relatively rare last season. The bowlers’ hard work is definitely visible when they hit the lanes, showing not only an increase in score, but an increase in confidence and camaraderie as well. In the Hoosick Falls match Danny Hunt led the Mountaineers with a 515, throwing a high game of 184. Kasey Billert was close behind, with a high game of 175 for a 505 series. Other notable games from the match were bowled by Matthew Hart with a 159, Rhiannon Dawes with a 143, and Paris DeFilippis with a 130. Logan Dunlop and Jacob Brazie had very impressive games on JV, Logan with a 181 and Jacob with a 163. The team was snowed out of Tuesday’s match against Mechanicville and is looking to reschedule. The bowlers face Saratoga Catholic on Thursday and Stillwater on Saturday. Keep it rolling, Mountaineers!
