Berlin CSD is excited to welcome Mr. Joshua Santarcangelo into his new position as Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at the Berlin Middle-High School.
Mr. Santarcangelo has been teaching Social Studies at BMSHS for over 14 years. He has also held positions ranging from Social Studies Department Chair, High School Student Council Advisor, and member of the APPR, Professional Development, and Leadership Committees.
Mr. Santarcangelo has been dedicated to coaching the Berlin Track Team for the past five years and Cross Country Team for the last eight. Last season he coached the Girls Cross Country Team to an incredible run at States. His experience and success coaching will provide him the much needed insight for his new role as Athletic Director.
Mr. Santarcangelo is a great leader both in and outside of the building. BCSD is looking forward to seeing him in his new leadership positions this year. Learn more about Mr. Santarcangelo also known as Mr. S in his own words.
I am looking forward to working with the faculty and staff from a new perspective. I hope I can provide the leadership that allows for this school community to continue to grow, and more importantly provide our students the opportunities to be successful.
As Assistant Principal I am looking forward to working with our students, developing new relationships with students I do not know, and making sure all voices are heard when potential issues come about.
As Athletic Director I want to continue to see our sport programs grow. This merger with New Lebanon has the chance to be successful but it takes time and dedication. A successful merger does not take place overnight so I hope I can work with our coaches and the New Lebanon Athletic Director to create a vision and plan that works best for our schools.
I am very active. You will probably see me out running, or being outside as much as I can. We work and live in a great area for outdoor activities, and there are a plethora of trails to enjoy. In addition to staying fit I love to spend time with my daughters. Covid might have challenged us but it gave me a chance to work from home and be with them more. I got a chance to see my youngest go from crawling to walking to climbing all over everything. I got a chance to help my toddler learn how to draw, write letters and numbers, and of course watch Disney princess movies.
Congratulations Mr. Santarcangelo!
