We would like to inform our community that the start of school has been moved to Thursday, September 10 to allow the district to move two staff development days to the start of the school year. The original first day of school for students was September 8.

The move provides faculty and staff four full days to work together before students enter the building to review safety procedures and collaborate and receive professional development to prepare for the reopening of school.

As a result, October 28 will be a full day of school instead of a half day and March 17 will be a full day of school instead of a day of no instruction for students. The Board of Education approved the new school calendar, which is available here, at its August 18 meeting.

We appreciate our families’ flexibility as we make this change to our school calendar to allow the district additional time to prepare for the first day of school. Thank you.
