Dear Berlin Elementary Families,

I hope this letter finds you safe and well during these challenging times. I’m sure that none of us could have ever imagined our present circumstances. We are missing your children and the excitement that they bring to each day at Berlin Elementary.

Despite our school building being closed, we are still providing learning opportunities for all of our students. Teachers are working hard to learn new technology and ways of teaching online. They have done a terrific job in adjusting to our new learning environment. For elementary students, this means that parents are playing a big role in supporting students right now. I want to acknowledge and thank all of our families for your guidance and support in your child’s education.

It is important that students are participating and interacting with their teachers each week. Students will be receiving a report card at the end of the school year that indicates their understanding of the standards taught and participation during remote learning. We are here to support you, and we can do that most significantly when we work together. If you are overwhelmed, in need of support, or struggling with technology, I encourage you to reach out. We are here to help.

In addition to your child’s classroom teacher, we have several other staff members who can provide assistance.

Ryan Steller, School Counselor – rsteller@berlincentral.org
Rachel Teplitsky, School Psychologist – rteplitsky@berlincentral.org
Andrea Wolff, Technology Specialist – awolff@berlincentral.org

Thank you for your continued support of learning.

Sincerely,

Tracy Kent
