Yesterday, Governor Cuomo announced that schools with a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be required to close for at least 24 hours. These decisions, as well as when a school can reopen, will be made by the local health department. Should the district consider closing school or cancelling large events, we will do so in collaboration and coordination with state and local health officials.
At this time, we are not planning any changes to our event schedule or school day. As you know, this continues to be a fluid situation as new cases present themselves daily. We continue to monitor guidance from the CDC, NYSDOH, and NYSED, and will act in accordance with their direction. As always, please do not come to school if you are sick and continue to practice good hygiene and wash your hands regularly.
