The Winter 6-12 Choral Concert conducted by Ms. Leslie Eliashuk with accompanist Mrs. Jennifer Lopez took place on Wednesday December 4.

The Senior High Chorus performed five pieces to start the evening.  Connor Sniger performed a wonderful solo during Stand with the Brave and Nikifor Popov had his conducting debut on Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth.

The 6th Grade Chorus followed with four numbers. Katie deLaurentis joined the chorus with a crystal clear flute accompaniment on the Spanish folk song Duérmete. Cameron Van Dyk and Kaylee Ferrarin sang excellent solos on Just Sing!  with Valentina Popov and Norah Smerdon singing the descant.

The Chamber Choir opened up the second half with three a cappella pieces and caroled throughout the evening providing a festive atmosphere.

The evening came to a close with the 7th and 8th Grade Chorus performing five pieces. Rebecca Moore and Jacob Maxon performed a beautiful descant on Throw Open Your Shutters. High school student Kendra Roberts accompanied the chorus’ performance of Pie Jesu and band conductor Mrs. Jessica Gould played percussion during the performance of Gabi Gabi.

Keep an eye out for the Chamber Choir on Friday evening when they will be caroling around town.
