team members at the walkOn October 20, Team Berlin Believes and Finley the dog participated in the 24th Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Albany. Team Berlin raised $2123 to support cancer patients, survivors, and their families. This year the girls’ Varsity Volleyball coaches Paul Slaver and Cassie Bentley joined us with members of their team. Afterwards, Karen Day and Stephanie Hover the co-advisors of the National Honor Society treated the students that rode the bus to frozen yogurt before returning to the school. Thank you to the school district for supplying us with transportation to and from Washington Park in Albany. This was the 6th year that our team has joined the Making Strides walk and we plan to continue doing it. It is held the third Sunday in October every year and we would love to have all our members join us. Over 16,000 walkers participated in the event and raised $700,000. See more photos.
