The 6th grade students explored the NYS Museum on Wednesday, October 16. They were able to engage and learn more about NYS treasures from 9/11 memorial exhibits to Native Peoples to New York. They also went on an interactive tour through the NYS Museum’s immigration exhibits to learn about the immigrant experience. Students engaged with the exhibits and primary documents to answer questions about immigration. They also learned about the experiences of new immigrants at Ellis Island and what their life was like entering the United States.
