What is your education background?
I attended SUNY Potsdam where I majored in both History and Secondary Education. During my time there I traveled to Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, and Montenegro to study genocide. I am now currently attending SUNY Albany part time to get my master’s degree.
What is your background like – previous jobs?
My background is tied to this area. I attended Berlin from Kindergarten all the way through to 12th grade. I’ve worked several jobs in the area from splitting and stacking wood on Bly Hollow to working as a shop apprentice in Pittsfield. While in college I worked for the History department and began to enjoy teaching. Now back in Berlin I’ve worked as the Technology Integration Specialist for the past two years and now I am teaching 9th Grade Global.
What are your interests outside of school?
Outside of school I’m involved with the Cross-Country team and spend most of my time off either gardening, hiking, or reading!
