After much discussion among schools in the Wasaren League, the Berlin athletic programs will remain in the Wasaren league except for the merged wrestling program with New Lebanon, which will remain in the Patroon Conference.
Initially, we were informed that if we did not bring the wrestling program over to the Wasaren League for the 2019-20 school year, we would no longer be a member of the Wasaren League. This led to multiple discussions among administration and athletic directors from all the member schools of the league to determine the best course of action with the current school year quickly coming to an end and schedules already created for the fall and winter seasons.
We look forward to this coming athletic year as our merger with New Lebanon continues to grow, increase our competitive level and develop our programs in the Wasaren League, as well as the wrestling program in the Patroon Conference.
