Students working in art classBerlin High School will again be participating in NYSATA’s Olympics of the Visual Arts (OVA) this year. Students in Ms. Noles’ Sculpture & Ceramics, Drawing & Painting and Advanced Studio classes are creating competition pieces incorporated right into their curriculum for class.

OVA is a statewide program where students compete for awards for their skill and creativity. Students may compete in different categories including: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Illustration, Architecture, Fashion Design, Typography and Photography. Student teams are judged on how well they met the theme, their level of innovation with the materials, and their documentation of the artistic process.  information about OVA can be found here.

Take a look at the busy art studio! Students are off and running on various stages of their pieces, engaging in active, hands-on learning!
