art_olymp1Four Berlin students competed in the NYS Art Teachers Association’s (NYSATA) Olympics of the Visual Arts (OVA) on April 21st, 2016 in Saratoga Springs. This is an annual statewide competition in the arts where students are judged on the piece of artwork they create throughout the school year, but also on an on-the-spot collaborative task the day of.

Bridget and Holly Hermann (Grade 7) competed in the Middle School Sculpture category and placed 3rd out of all the participating middle schools in New York State! Michelle Griswold and Shelbey Phillips (Grade 9) also did a fine job placing 14th in the very competitive High School Photography category.

Both teams did a fabulous job representing the district and their artwork submissions are on display in the front hallway at the Middle/High School.
