Parents are encouraged to pre-pay for their children’s meals. If paying by check or cash, please use the pre-payment form. For every $20 pre-paid, students will receive one free lunch.

FREE AND REDUCED MEAL APPLICATION
Children from households that meet federal income guidelines are eligible for free meals or reduced price meals. Reduced price meals cost each eligible student $ .25 for lunch and $ .25 for breakfast. To apply for free or reduced price meals, you may submit a Direct Certification letter from the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance OR complete the free and reduced meal application, sign it and return it to Tammy Whitman, Assistant Treasurer, BCSD, P.O. NUTRIKIDS (Point of Sale System)
With national attention currently focused on children’s health and wellness issues, NUTRIKIDS (POS) increases the level of service and provides accurate school meal accounts. The POS also provides parents a convenient, easy and secure online prepayment service to deposit money into your child’s school meal account at any time. Parents have the ability to view their child’s account balance through a website called MYNUTRIKIDS.COM. By placing money in each child’s account prior to entering the cafeteria, we find that the lunch lines move much faster so your child has time to eat and mingle with their friends. Your child simply needs to know their student ID number to enter into a pin pad and the money is automatically deducted from their account. {Learn More}

In order to register your child, you will need your child’s ID number, name and school zip code (12022).
If you choose to not take advantage of the online prepayment system, you may continue to make advance payments via check or cash directly to the school.

FOOD SERVICE PROVIDER
Prestige Services, Inc. is the food service provider for the Berlin Central School District. They are a locally owned company located in Clifton Park, NY. Prestige Services operates programs throughout New York State which not only include schools, but include businesses and elder nutrition programs.
