SCHOOL TAX COLLECTION 2010
school tax bills will be mailed on or around September 1, 2010. If you do not receive your tax bill by
September 5th, please contact the school tax collector at the
number below or visit www.townsoft.com
to view or print a copy of your bill. No penalty is due on payments received or
postmarked ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2010. A 2%
penalty will be added to tax payments made on or postmarked between October
2, 2010 and November 1, 2010. ALL tax
bills must be postmarked on or before November 1, 2010. After the November 1st deadline,
all unpaid tax bills are returned to the Rensselaer County Tax Office for
collection. These returned bills are subject to an additional 7% PLEASE NOTE ALL RETURNED
CHECKS MAY BE SUBJECT TO A PROCESSING FEE. TAXPAYERS WHO WISH A RECEIPT MUST RETURN THE ENTIRE TAX BILL. Payment should be made by
check or money order payable to:

screen, select Rensselaer (County), select Taxes may also be paid in

October collection date will require an additional 2% penalty added to your

reapportionments, boundaries, transfer of ownership, etc., should be referred
to the Assessor in the town
