Congratulations to the Berlin Elementary students who were chosen as the winners of the CAP COM Fire Prevention Week Drawing contest, and received a $25 VISA gift card.This year’s theme was “Look. Listen. Learn.” Students were asked to draw a picture of how you would use your eyes, ears and nose to spot a fire, then alert others.
The Afterschool Enrichment Program at Berlin Elementary kicked off earlier this month with 100 elementary students registering to participate in hands on safety activities. Students rotated through stations including: Compressions, Foreign objects in eyes, ears, nose, How to treat burns and bee stings, Making a First Aid Kit and more.
Berlin Elementary School is collecting new socks during the month of October. Socks will be donated to the Joseph’s House and Shelter in Troy.
Thank you to the Berlin, Grafton, Petersburgh and Stephentown Fired Departments who visited Berlin Elementary School yesterday for the annual Fire Prevention Day. Firefighters shared tips on fire safety including reminders about safety plans at home and what to do in the event of a fire.
