After weeks of planning, we are pleased to announce the launch of a district Facebook page in an effort to offer another platform to connect with parents and the community.
The Berlin Dramateers at Berlin Middle/High School present Disney’s “The Little Mermaid, opening Friday, March 24 at 7 p.m. in the Berlin High School auditorium.
Did you know the Berlin Middle/High School library is infested with sharks? Each year, students in the Marine Biology course hatch catsharks from egg cases in the aquariums at the school library. The only course of its kind in the surrounding area, Marine Biology at Berlin MS/HS affords a unique educational opportunity for students to engage in advanced science, design and collaborative problem solving.
To celebrate National School Breakfast Week, all students in the district are invited to enjoy breakfast for FREE on Wednesday, March 8, 2017! Students are encouraged to “Take the Challenge” and eat a nutritious breakfast at school each day during NSBW. Any student that eats breakfast every morning during the challenge will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card. Teachers and staff will help with the challenge by serving the students breakfast. Students will also have the chance to vote on their favorite “character.”
Seventh grade students were introduced to engineering concepts in Mrs. Wright’s Technology class. They recently completed a project in which they had to act as engineers to design a chairlift for a ping pong ball.
Congratulations to Josephine Cummings, Rebecca Moore, Ashleigh Smerdon, Jake Collen, and Rebecca Madsen for their hard work preparing for Rensselaer All County Band.
