Berlin High School students met with staff at NYS Assemblyman Jake Ashby’s office and shared their concerns for the Berlin area regarding mental health. Students discussed the lack of services for mental health treatment nearby and the cost of transportation in time and money to reach services outside the community. They then rallied and marched near the Governor’s office to draw attention to the importance of mental health. The students learned a lot and really enjoyed the experience of participating in the policy-making process.
