Dear Berlin Families,

As members of the Berlin School District Community, we’d like you to know we are thinking of you during this difficult time. While the students and staff are out of our buildings, all of you are still on our minds. We hope you are doing well and your families are in good health. The Administrative Team greatly appreciates the work being done by students and families to continue the educational process. All of our teachers and staff are working diligently to maintain contact with students and attempt to keep them motivated to complete the work which was sent home. In communicating with our teachers, they all report how much they miss your children and their work in the classroom.

At the time of this letter, we are not aware of any extension to the original return date. We are currently working on developing methods and practices to deliver new instruction to students in the event that our cancellation continues beyond the expected deadline. However, please continue to check the website for updated information. As a district, we are always attentive to updates from the Governor and the State Education Department. We are currently awaiting guidance as to our time to return to the building for classes. For the time being, please have your students reach out to their teacher via email or Schoology. Please engage them with “regularly” scheduled academic habits using the review work that has been sent home so they remain motivated to learn. Please be sure to contact us, if your family has a question or concern regarding your child/children’s academic program.

Our best regards to your families and especially the children. We wish everyone good health during this time away from school.
